The Limousin cattle come from the less profilic areas of the low mountain range in the south-west of France. As a result of the rising interest in high-quality races of beef cattle, it can be found in more than 60 countries throughout the world today. In the Federal Republic of Germany this race becomes also more an more important because it offers a wide range of advantages. These special advantages are:

The Limousin cattle can nowadays be found in all parts of the Federal Republic of Germany. Our herd is located in the north of Germany, between the East and the North Sea, in the federal territory Schleswig-Holstein - the land of horizons !
Our cattle are breeded on the light and middle soil of the so called Schleswig-Holsteinische Geest. The Limousin cattle is absolutely predestined to live in this surrounding with its less favourable fodder conditions. The harsch climate causes no problems to this race. Our herd is divided into a breeding and a production herd.
Our breeding herd is characterised by well known French, German and Danish lines of blood, and we try to combine all the positive aspects of the race with the characteristic feature of hornlessness. For this purpose, we use apart from artificial insemination also Danish polled lines which posses only little Canadian blood.
The production herd is used for the production of high quality cattle which are to be slaughtered. They are fattened on our farm and are partially sold directly to the consumers.
